Boys will be boys so let them do what they want

If they pick on you, they think you are pretty, so you should be glad

You’re uncomfortable with how they are treating you? You have to act nonchalant

I learned this rule in 1st grade, no wonder I’m mad

They say boys will be boys, and girls can’t speak up for what they do or don’t want

I have heard this since I was in first grade, that’s before I could add

Why are boys taught that no means yes, but only when girls says it

Why are girls taught to cover up because boys can’t keep it in their pants

Why does nobody ask what the rapist is wearing, or treat him like the idiot

Why do girls have to fear walking because a boy won’t leave her alone or feels like he can’t

So it’s not all boys but it’s enough

No one listens and no one cares, until its your daughter or sister or even your mother

So of course we are angry and change needs to come

Before more girls are scarred and have their lives taken from them
