The leaves on the trees change colors just as fast as my mood changes to a gloom feel this time of year. The absence of sunlight brings me fewer hours of joy and happiness and takes away the ability to be free like a bird. I like the idea of winter and the snow encompassing the forest behind my house, but I don’t like the reality of being constantly stuck in the house just yearning to be outside. When there is glistening snow across the lawn and barely any sunlight, I know that the winter season will be long and dreaded.
