A Magical Moment in the Most Magical Place on Earth

A Magical Moment in the Most Magical Place on Earth

It is a nice day in Walt Disney World. Marvin stands on Main St. U.S.A., waiting for the parade to start. He is in the front, because he arrived there early. It is the special Christmas parade.

Marvin thinks, “When will this parade finally start? I’ve been waiting forever!”

He looks around to see who else is there. Main St. is packed! He can’t see over all of the people, so he stands up on his toes. Just then, he hears music. The parade is starting! The crowd erupts into cheers!

He heard someone announcing the parade over the loudspeaker – “Hear ye, hear ye! The parade has begun! Please stand behind the yellow line as our special characters parade through Main St. U.S.A.! Keep in mind that all of Main St. is currently filled. Please find another spot if you wish to see the parade from a closer distance. Thank you, and have a magical day!”

Everyone cheers as the parade continues. The first float comes with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. They wave to everyone and everyone waves back. Marvin smiles.

Marvin thinks, “I love going to Disney. It is so magical. I feel so free and relaxed when I’m here! It’s all so much fun.”

Next, Pluto comes on a float, followed by Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and then Goofy. They wave and dance around. It makes everyone laugh and grin.

Then, a little girl exclaims, “Look, it’s the princesses!”

Everyone turns to see a marvelous, towering castle float with princesses waving over the edge. They smile and twirl as little girls point, giggle, and smile as they are pointed to by a princess.

Suddenly, the floats stop abruptly. The floats bang into the side of their track, and to everyone’s dismay and shock, a princess topples over the side of the castle float!

The loudspeaker suddenly starts up again, “Attention everyone! There has been a slight technical difficulty in our parade. Please remain behind the yellow line. The parade will resume shortly. Thank you, and have a magical day!”

Everyone points and gasps as they realize who fell. It is Cinderella! She peeks up from the ground, her face dirtied and hair messily tangled.

Marvin thinks to himself, “She must be so embarrassed. I have to help her!”

Marvin ignores the order to stay behind the yellow line. He crosses over and runs over to Cinderella, who has tears in her eyes.

He says, “Let me help you up.”

Cinderella replies between sniffles, “Thank you.”

Marvin helps her up. They walk off the parade path. Everyone stares, and people are videoing. Marvin and Cinderella walk away and head to Cinderella’s castle.
