Let go. Let live.
Even if you can’t forget, forgive.
Those things they said to you?
They didn’t mean to make you blue.
Nobody’s perfect, spotless and pristine as soap.
So why ruminate on each little mistake and lose hope?
It is the conscience that presses us to be better,
But let not your ruthless expectations become a fetter.
You’ve had more closed doors this past year than you expected;
I know, it is exhausting to be turned down, told no, rejected.
Perhaps, at the moment, we do not understand the timing of it all.
Yet I know you’ll be thankful that I did not leave you to fall.
