I am short, not tall,
it’s been my whole life,
living at the level of chests and not eyes.
I see when you breath,
in and out,
but not when you look at me.
For that, I have to look up,
constantly.
Constantly looking up to those
who look down on me,
constantly,
and quite literally.
I am short, not tall,
it’s been my whole life,
yet living this way is bliss
for I appreciate not being able to see above
the mountain tops,
and getting the chance to experience
the journey to the top,
for as long, and as straining as it takes.
The views are always better that way.
I love being short. I love my body the way I am.
The sun warms me faster anyways.
