Floating above,
A thousand feet high in the air,
I look down at the little Albuquerque
Skyline below. Spheres of color ascend
Into the sky, tugging with them tiny wicker baskets full
Of tiny people. Blue skies give way to a sea of oranges,
Reds, pinks, greens, yellows, whites, and purples.
The city is now off in the distance, a cluster
Of alabaster white buildings in a sprawling
swathe of rusted desert plains.
Lots
Of
Hot
Air
Balloons
Lift off into the sky,
Leaving the world
For just a moment.
