Fall Spirit Week Recap

Fall+Spirit+Week+Recap

Spirit Week is always an exciting time of year as students get to dress down and show their school spirit! Our first spirit week of the year had some amazing themes. On Monday, students got to wear their Austin Prep apparel, such as sportswear or AP sweatshirts!  Additionally, during community meeting, there was a Seniors vs. Staff volleyball game. Although the staff won, the seniors played amazing and the game ended with a close score: 49-47. Wednesday was probably the most creative theme: Soccer Mom vs. BBQ Dad. The star of the day was Nareg Minnassian, ‘26, who came in dressed as a Soccer Mom. He wore a blonde wig, pink Lululemon sweatshirt, flared leggings, and carried around a Hydro Flask. Everyone loved his outfit and he definitely deserves a best dressed award!

Thursday was the long awaited class colors and pep rally day! Middle school wore green, freshman wore pink, sophomores wore red, white, and blue, juniors wore white, and seniors wore black. On the last day of every spirit week, there’s a pep rally that every student looks forward to. Students paint their faces, put on their most extravagant clothes, and bring all their school spirit into Meelia Hall. The sports teams are always excited to create dances or skits that they present to the entire school. An exciting twist to this meeting was when Auggie, the new school mascot, made his debut. The cheerleaders lined the walls and welcomed him in as he burst through the doors. The audience went wild, jumping, screaming, and cheering. He was a huge hit, and overall everyone really seemed to enjoy the week.
