Harry Styles’s sophomore album Fine Line exploded in success, breaking numerous records and topping countless charts. It contained many popular singles like “Watermelon Sugar”, “Adore You”, and “Golden”. The album was released on December 13, 2019, and was his most recent release of music, meaning it’s been nearly two and a half years since Harry Styles last released music. Fans have been anxiously waiting for the day that he finally started a new album era, and that day has finally come. 

A few weeks ago, mysterious ads started appearing in various newspapers with the caption “You Are Home”. These ads involved drawings of an upside-down flower vase, an upside-down lamp, and an upside-down door. There was also a website, youarehome.com, which contained a door that opened to show a new picture each day. While there was nothing that proved a connection to Harry Styles in these ads, some fans began to connect the dots. Styles is known for releasing albums and content in cryptic ways, like creating and advertising an entire fake island called Eroda without explaining that it was related to him to tease his single Adore You. He has also created websites before to announce music, which also clued some fans in. Additionally, the website that accompanied the “You Are Home” advertisements resembled websites that he had created in the past. Despite the theories flying around, no one was sure whether or not Harry Styles was involved in You Are Home. Yet, it seemed cryptic enough to be something that Styles would do, but many also felt that it was too far-fetched to be true.

More and more people started to believe in the You Are Home theory when a You Are Home Twitter account was created that made explicit references to Harry Styles. However, at this point, it was still all speculation. The fateful day finally came on May 24, 2022. The picture inside the door on the 24th was a picture of Harry Styles on the ceiling of an upside-down room. In addition to this new website picture came an Instagram post from Harry Styles with the same picture announcing his new album Harry’s House, due to come out on May 20. Immediately following this development, social media exploded. After so long with no word about new music from Styles, the announcement of not only a new single but a whole new album induced extreme frenzy. Suddenly, the prospect of new Harry Styles music became real. Five days after announcing the release of a new album, Styles shocked the world yet again when he revealed that his new single “As It Was” is due to come out Friday, April 1. The single has been advertised with many posters around the world and will be accompanied by a new music video.
